Ah Labor Day, that great celebration of the worker’s contribution, of workers’ rights and the founding of unions. The trouble is however — just like any holiday — it’s a perfect vehicle for scammers to make a buck, too. The following scams are what we’ve found in the last week — read on for the low-down. Be on the lookout!
Maui Jim Sunglasses Scam
The real Maui Jim is a very popular American sunglasses company. Recently however, numerous fake Maui Jim online shops have been popping up. Consumers have reported receiving SMS text messages, advertising discounts which seem too good to be true — sadly they are.
