Black Friday is fast approaching and there are many great deals up for grabs. Head over here for a list of great early deals that we’ve put together. The trouble is that with so much online shopping taking place, it also makes it prime season for shopping scammers. To that end, we’ve been tracking Black Friday shopping scams — read on for what we’ve found.

Ray-Ban Shopping Scams

Scammers have been impersonating Ray-Ban for as long as online shopping has been commonplace. We’ve encountered several fake Ray-Ban websites, among them “rbmhouse[dot]com/m” — so be on the lookout for that URL. Many fake websites are convincing nowadays as scammers get more and more sophisticated. Below are two Ray-Ban websites, one real and one fake — and to the untrained eye there’s not much in it!

We have also encountered countless fake Ray-Ban phishing emails, such as the one above. Be on the lookout for these malicious scam email addresses.

Nike Shopping Scams

Nike is another commonly impersonated brand. We have discovered fake websites such as the below, again very convincing. Don’t become the victim.

Fake Coach Websites

Isn’t it hard to tell the bogus websites from the legitimate one? Hint: Double-check the web address; Anything other than coach.com is fake!

Fake Lowe’s Website

Fake The North Face Website

Shop Safely with ScamCheck

• Always double-check reviews of shopping websites.
• Pay attention to the company’s age, and be suspicious of great-sounding discounts.
• Strange payment methods (such as only PayPal) is a red flag.
