Hi igers, please beware of this new Instagram phishing scam! Fraudsters send phishing emails pretending to be Instagram officials, asking page owners to verify their accounts to get the blue checkmark.

In these scammy emails, Instagram users are asked to hand in their selfies and pictures of other personal identities to verify their accounts. They are even asked to submit their email address and password to log in to their Instagram account.

Remember, Instagram will NOT ask you to reveal your personal information and login credentials through email! If you are asked to provide your password, it is definitely a phishing scam.
