    Until May 2021, we already found 3,358 email scam cases in total. Scammers impersonate Trend Micro and send fake emails about subscription renewal or order confirmation. Scammers create fake invoices or copy the layout of a genuine one:

    They provide random order numbers, falsely claiming that you will be charged a considerable amount of money.

    No matter what tactics they use, scammers claim that you have to dial a “customer service” number to cancel the subscription. However, the phone numbers are NOT legitimate from Trend Micro. Trend Micro helpcenter provides a list of fake phone numbers from Trend Micro to watch out for.

    If you follow their instructions and call, the scammers will ask for your banking credentials or credit card numbers. They can thus steal your money as well as your identity!
