Received an email from Microsoft about account update? Be cautious. It’s a scam!
Scammers impersonate Microsoft and send you an email about update of your account. They falsely claim that you have to “update new version” via a link they provide, or you won’t be able to “process incoming emails and PDF attachments.”
If you click on the link, you may be led to a fake Microsoft website and asked to enter login credentials or other sensitive personal information. Or, in a worse case, malware will start to download once you click on the link. Don’t fall for it!
This is what a fake MS support email look like. if you take a closer look, you will find that although the sender’s name seems related to Microsoft, its email address is doubtful- an email related to bitcoin trading company? That’s a red flag!
