Tazebex is the latest cryptocurrency scam making the rounds. Tazebex[.]com purports to be an exchange platform, much like the legitimate and popular Coinbase or Binance. It even claims to have the official involvement of notable figures and celebrities such as Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Warren Buffett, and Cristiano Ronaldo. Unfortunately, none of this true — Tazebex is your run-of-the-mill fake crypto website, designed to steal your crypto, money, and sensitive credentials.
Tazebex Crypto Scam
The first thing to note with Tazebex[.]com is that it is remarkably similar to two fake crypto exchange scams we warned about earlier this month, Bufetex[.]com and Haeterbit[.]com. You can see below that they have exactly the same visuals and layout — the only thing different is the name change. This is a common occurrence in the world of scam webpages.
Bufetex (R) and Haeterbit (L)
Our friends over at ScamAdviser have also provides a damning verdict on Tazebex’s authenticity, with a shockingly low score of 1/100. The reasons for this are as follows:
- The website is very young (10/19/23).
- There is no information about ownership or location.
- There is no contact information provided.
- The Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and About Us sections have been copied from other, known scam websites.
- They are utilizing a pyramid-style referral system via social media like Facebook and TikTok.
- There are reports that people have been unable to withdraw their funds once deposited.
The website is also advertising fake giveaway campaigns, using the names of celebrities mentioned above. This is designed to entice would-be victims to provide sensitive information in the hopes of winning big. Ultimately, with Tazebex[.]com you’ll only be LOSING big. Stay away, folks!
