This week we’ve found a large number of scams that you need to watch out for, including ones relating to Louis Vuitton, Kay Jewelers, PayPal, USPS, and more. Would you have been able to spot all the scams?

    Christmas Shopping Scams

Who else is also counting down the days to Christmas? As you are excited and getting ready for the holiday celebrations, scammers are out there looking to exploit you with plenty of phishing scams and fake Christmas sales. Don’t let them!

    Louis Vuitton

“Louis Vuitton Bags Up To 88% Off!” Sound too good to be true? It is. We’ve reported on fake Louis Vuitton promotional emails many times before, and this time they’ve taken on a new form for the upcoming Christmas sales:

Below is a list of the scam Louis Vuitton emails we’ve detected. Some of the senders’ names impersonate Louis Vuitton as well. Always take a close look at the sender’s email address and don’t click on links unless you are 100% sure they’re safe!

    Phishing Scams

Besides Christmas shopping scams, we’ve also found a lot of phishing scams this week. Impersonating famous brands and companies, scammers send out phishing links (sometimes using text messages or emails) and try to entice you into opening them with various lies.

These phishing links will often lead to fake login pages that will end up asking you for your personal information and/or login credentials.

    Paypal Phishing

PayPal phishing text messages are so common. Have you ever received one?

    • wHrQPb Customer    Your PaypaI’s account has been Iimited, because we have detected suspicious activity on your account.  Recover your account immediateIy by cIick link bellow: <URL>  PIease take action on your account within 48 hours to avoid permanent suspension.

Falsely claiming that there are security issues with your PayPal account, scammers prompt you to click on the attached link to secure it. You will be directed to a fake PayPal login page:

Scammers can record any sensitive data you submit on these pages, including login credentials and credit card information, and they will use them for their own good. Don’t let them!

    USPS Shipping Scam

We’ve written about fake delivery notifications from UPS, USPS, FedEx, and more before. Please be on the lookout, especially when it’s the holiday season and everyone is expecting packages!

    • Your package has arrived at the transit center, but we cannot deliver it due to an inaccurate delivery address on the package. <URL>
