Facebook Phishing Scam: “Your page has been reported by others about lying or fraud!”
Be cautious of a Facebook phishing scam, all the Facebook page administrators!
Recently we noticed that a Facebook account named “Fǝœbook Engineeɾing” is creating a lot of posts and randomly tagging many other fan pages. The account writes posts with phishing links, falsely claiming that the pages tagged are “reported by others about lying or fraud” and that the administrators have to click on a link to verify and “repair” their accounts.
If you click on the link, you will be taken to a fake Facebook login page and asked to enter your login credentials. Beware! Scammers can gain access to your account and thus take over the fan pages you are running.
Always check before you take any action. Copy/paste the link and send it to Trend Micro ScamCheck for immediate scam/phishing detection.
